The NADJ now sends out a regular email shot to its members which contains current news and updates. There is often content within that newsletter that, although generally available on the NADJ website, is not as profiled as it should be within the DJ community.

Not a direct quote from a previous newsletter but we thought it prudent to bring the following to your attention:

I am sure the majority of you will know about the pending AGM where members get the opportunity to elect a new committee. The majority of the committee is co-opted and the three elected positions are:

• Chairman
• Treasurer
• Secretary

The current chairman and treasurer have declared they are happy to stand for reelection.

The role of Acting Secretary is currently being managed by Mark Davies and due to overseas commitments would prefer not to stand for the position. He has stated that if there were no nominations for the role then he would take up the post but there could potentially be time management issues.

Any NADJ member, who is fully paid up, has current PAT and PLI is allowed to nominate potential candidates and stand for office. We are aware that some individuals are skeptical about the NADJ and this is an opportunity for anyone who feels they can make a difference to step forward.

For those of you wishing to step forward please be aware that most positions within the NADJ committee be it co-opted or elected, will have demands on your time and will require a high level of commitment.
